“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 1:6
Hi, friends. 💚
It feels a little strange sitting down to write after being away for a while. So much has happened over the past couple of months, and I wanted to invite you into what God has been doing behind the scenes.
The truth is, this season has been full—beautiful in some ways, difficult in others, and deeply refining. Rather than forcing myself to create while running on empty, I felt the Lord inviting me to be present in the work He was doing in my own heart before trying to pour into others.
One of the biggest things shaping this season has been starting Re:Generation, a Christ-centered discipleship and recovery ministry that helps people find freedom and healing through the power of Jesus Christ.
Right now, I’m working through the Inventory step, and I won’t sugarcoat it—it’s been mentally, emotionally, and spiritually exhausting. Looking honestly at your past isn’t easy. It requires humility, honesty, and a willingness to let God shine His light into places you’ve kept hidden for years.
Yet, in the middle of that hard work, I’ve experienced something incredibly beautiful.
The Lord has been gently revealing areas of my heart that still needed healing—wounds I didn’t even realize I was carrying. He’s reminded me time and time again that His grace reaches every broken place, every regret, every fear, and every part of our story we’d rather keep tucked away.
Healing isn’t easy.
But it is worth it.
At the end of May, the kids, one of our puppies, and I packed up the car and made the two-day drive from South Carolina to New Mexico to spend a month with my parents.
It was exactly the change of pace our hearts needed.
We made so many wonderful memories together—walking across the breathtaking dunes of White Sands National Park, visiting Bottomless Lakes State Park, exploring new places, and simply enjoying uninterrupted time together as a family. Looking back, some of my favorite moments weren’t the adventures themselves, but the quiet evenings filled with laughter, conversations, and the gift of slowing down.
When we returned home, summer break was in full swing.
As many of you know, being a mom is one of my greatest callings. Between adventures, appointments, playtime, and simply soaking in these fleeting childhood moments, my focus naturally shifted toward my children.
They won’t always be little.
These summers won’t last forever.
I wanted to be fully present with them while I had the chance.
Because of that, the blog and podcast took a back seat for a little while—and honestly, I’m okay with that.
Then something unexpected happened…
I learned how to crochet.
What started as a simple curiosity quickly became something I absolutely love.
There’s something incredibly peaceful about creating with your hands, one stitch at a time. Crochet has become one of the unexpected ways God has slowed my heart. Each project reminds me that beautiful things are rarely made quickly—they’re created one stitch, one row, one day at a time.
It’s become a quiet place where I can pray, think, worship, and simply enjoy the process of creating. I’ve already finished several projects and have many more planned, so don’t be surprised if a little crochet starts finding its way into Redeemed Rambles from time to time.
Through all of this, God has been teaching me something I desperately needed to learn.
Not every season is meant for producing.
Some seasons are meant for healing.
Some are meant for growing roots instead of bearing fruit.
I’ve realized that it’s okay to step away for a while when the Lord is doing deep work in your heart. Ministry doesn’t always happen behind a microphone, through a podcast, or in a blog post.
Sometimes ministry begins in the quiet places where God is reshaping us before He asks us to pour into others.
Looking back, I don’t see the past few months as a season of absence.
I see them as a season of preparation.
God has been healing, refining, teaching, and reminding me that my identity isn’t found in how much I produce but in whose I am.
And for that, I’m incredibly grateful.
I’m excited to begin sharing again—not because everything is perfect, but because I believe God is still writing this story. There are lessons He’s teaching me through Regen, motherhood, travel, creativity, and everyday life that I can’t wait to share with you.
Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or you’re just finding Redeemed Rambles today, thank you for being here. I hope you’ll continue walking this journey with me, because I truly believe God is only getting started.
Thank you for sticking around.
I’m so glad you’re here.
Grace and peace,
Tisha
